Silk is a natural protein fiber produced by the silkworm Bombyx mori, known globally for its exceptional softness, luxurious luster, smooth drape, and high tensile strength. It is one of the strongest natural fibers, composed primarily of fibroin, which gives it durability, sheen, and a naturally breathable character. Silk can be woven into a wide range of textures — from fine, sheer chiffons to structured satins and taffetas — making it one of the most prestigious and versatile fabrics in the textile industry.
